In my last post, we discussed Trauma as a fracturing experience that ruins trust and leaves victims estranged, alienated, and distrustful. Looking at a variety of treatments for trauma related conditions, the common and most effective way to treat trauma is to build Faith. Faith does not have to be in organized religion but it can be. Faith can also be in trusting a group of friends, having a mentor that supports you, or having a spiritual belief that gives you the feeling that you are part of something bigger in the universe. Also, Psychotherapy can build Faith through a trusting relationship. Friends and families can build Faith through unconditional acceptance. Faith is the answer to being Traumatized. Distrust makes Faith very difficult. But I think improving and supporting any inkling of a trace of Faith and building on that, is the Silver Bullet for Trauma conditions.
